Book a course with most providers and you can be lucky with your trainer, or unlucky. We built the 5 Step System™ so the quality does not depend on luck: every course follows a written concept, and every trainer is employed in-house.

Your goal
English, German and our other languages: general language skills, business communication or language for specific purposes. The focus follows your needs, not the language you choose.
Your format
Individual lessons or small groups, with our in-house trainers and the 5 Step System. Start with the written placement test; we also assess your speaking level.

Language courses throughout Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL), including Bielefeld, Herford, Bad Salzuflen, Lage and Gütersloh, as well as online.
Twenty units, one topic, five steps.
Every course apart from the workshops runs on this principle: 20 units built around one topic, then the next 20 around the next one. You know the contents and the methods before the first lesson.
Introduction of the topic
Discussions, listening exercises and videos around the topic, always tied back to your own business and life.
Vocabulary
The relevant business and professional vocabulary for that topic, so the words are there when you need them.
Grammar in context
Rules worked out through business texts, role play and discussion instead of being handed over as a table.
Daily Business Session
Your own presentations and emails, a tour through your company, your products and processes.
Case study & Entertainment Session
Everything learned applied to a case study and a test, plus a multimedia session on current and cultural topics.

Open courses
Single lessons and small online groups. We build the concept around your needs on the 5 Step System, and set duration and scheduling with you. In our course rooms in Bielefeld or online, wherever you are.
Business courses
Our B2B core. The R&D team writes a concept for your course and level, the trainer team runs the lessons. Full service: you show up, enjoy and learn.
Professional courses
For when the level is already good but the exact wording for a project or a professional setting is missing. Focused on a specific language field or on soft skills in your target language.
Exam preparation
Preparation for the certificate you need, plus courses developed specifically for apprentices in combination with a business course. Every participant we have prepared so far has passed.

Test your level online.
25 questions, five per level from A1 to C1, and an estimate straight away. The oral part we do with you afterwards.

All our trainers are employed; we do not work with external freelancers. What keeps the standard in place between them:
Tests and certificates.
Placement test
Written and oral, in person or on the phone. The two levels often differ, and our courses have a high share of speaking, so both get tested. The written part you can take online right here.
Progress tests
Two per semester in general and business courses, covering reading, writing, listening and speaking. In blended courses your self-study is graded continuously instead.
Certificates
Pass at least one test and finish an 80-unit course leading to a half CEF level and you get a certificate with your grade, the average of the tests written.
The part that happens outside the classroom.
Pub crawls, walks, karaoke and craft chats: speak English with other people who are learning it, 8 € per person. Immersion in the culture, not only in the grammar.
It starts with the placement test.
Written and oral, in person or on the phone, so every participant starts at the right level and in the right group. Only then do we write the course concept.
