Training · Self- & Time Management

Everybody has 24 hours.
Not everybody has the energy.

Time management alone explains almost nothing. Some people are more productive, calmer and seemingly inexhaustible on the same 24 hours — because they manage three things, not one: their time, their attention and their energy. This training works on all three, starting with an honest look at where the energy actually goes.

Time, mind, energy
Self-management has three elements, and one of them is usually untrained
The Energy Test
Twenty-one statements across body, emotions, mind and spirit
Your real week
Worked on the calendar and task list participants actually have
Open or in-house
Runs as an open group programme and as an in-house training
Three elements

Organise yourself, instead of being organised.

Effective self-management runs on time, mind and energy. Train only one of them and the other two undo the progress: a perfect calendar collapses under a scattered attention span, and both collapse when there is nothing left in the tank. Pick an element.

Time management

Most of what looks like laziness is complexity.

Postponing is rarely laziness. It is complexity, underestimated scope, and waiting for a perfect solution.

Worked with: own task list, own calendar, own current week
What we practise
Cutting a complex task down to a piece that actually starts
Estimating scope honestly, then planning against that estimate
Finishing: the last twenty percent where the value is
Telling apart urgent, important and merely loud
Protecting the blocks where the difficult work happens
Our Energy Test

Twenty-one sentences, one at a time.

We open the training with this inventory. It goes through four sources of energy one statement at a time: everything you can tick is energy coming back to you, everything you cannot is a place where it leaves. The higher the score, the better. Nothing is stored or sent.

Body
sleep, food, movement, breaks
Body · 1/70 points

I regularly get at least 7-8 hours of sleep.

18–21
Excellent energy management
15–17
Solid energy management
11–14
Significant energy management deficits
0–10
A full-scale energy management crisis
How it runs

We work on your real week, not on a case study.

Participants bring their own calendar, their own task list and their own energy profile. Available as an open group programme and as an in-house training, in one or two days.

01 We start with the Energy Test — everyone scores their own four sources.
02 Each element gets worked on with the participants' own week as the material.
03 The mind part includes an honest ADT check and what multitasking is costing.
04 Everyone leaves with a small set of rituals and one thing they will stop doing.
Working more hours is the one lever that has already been pulled.

Find out where your energy goes.

Tell us what is draining time, attention and energy. The programme runs as an open group, an in-house training, or a module inside a leadership curriculum.
